That's not to say this a blog that is pro bridezilla but perhaps a way to feel empowered and confident in the choices you make to create your day.
Basil & Bee provides a haven within an often far too cutesy wedding world. This isn't about being 'on trend' or alternative for alternatives sake. It's about being YOU and if it's a meringue you want then a meringue you shall have.
ABOUT ME
I'm Rebecca, a hair stylist who lives in Essex with my soon to be husband, Lee and pygmy hedgehog, Basil. My passion for weddings began a few years ago when the thought of married life shifted from seemingly unnecessary to extremely exciting.
Having travelled the world and living a year long, care free existence I returned to find I was at that stage of life when you begin to attend an average of four weddings a year.
I became fascinated by the different choices couples make when planning such a big life event. Some are good, some are bad but it all proves that there is no right way to plan your day. I love any wedding that represents the couple and I want to embrace every detail of yours.
I'm a girl who loves clothes...a lot. I have way too many striped tops, but am yet to find the perfect one and I spend far too much of my time looking through the. 'new in' section on all my favourite clothing sites. I'm at my happiest when dunking a chocolate digestive into a strong cup of tea with Basil padding around on my lap.
