A ROOFTOP WEDDING AT SUNSET IN EAST LONDON - KATY & IAN
This gorgeous wedding took place on a beautiful, and rarely seen, sunny day in East London.

Katy and Ian celebrated their newlywed status on the Rockwell House rooftop in Shoreditch, after exchanging their vows in the iconic Hackney town hall.
Katy was a modern daydream dressed in her stunning Katya Katya Shehurina gown, Dolce & Gabanna shoes and adorned with a unique head piece sourced on Etsy.
The mix of an industrial rooftop, the incredible city skyline and homemade decor to add a pop of colour gave the perfect reflection of this creative and fun couple.

Katy and Ian wanted the day to feel relaxed, enjoyable and individual to the point of asking the bridal party to choose their own attire. The bridesmaids by chance all chose to wear pretty pastel shades, a sky blue dress by Three Floor, mint green by Warehouse and pastel peach by Chloe.

The bridal gown was one of the easiest decisions as Katy lit up when trying on only dress number three. The Marteena from independent designer Katya Katya Shehurina based in Soho, London. The ivory gown was made for Katy using french lace and stacked tulle layers to create a completely playful and unique dress. The bride held a peony bouquet in white and pink which really completed the look.
Ian was looking sharp as he opted for a bespoke three piece suit by Beggars Run in East London and a white collarless shirt, which on one of the hottest days of the year was a welcome relief.

The decor for the venue was a labour of love as Katy spent countless hours, possibly days, crafting pinatas and tassel garlands to adorn the concrete rooftop. The couple visited a local flower market in the week before the wedding to source hundreds of different cactus plants, which acted effectively as the table centerpieces. Each wedding guest received an enamel camping mug to drink from and a charity donation was given to Cancer Research UK on behalf of all who attended. The food and drink flowed long into the night with everyone sampling the wedding cocktail 'Flecks on the Beach,' Fleck being the brides new name. Luckily the amazing street food vendors, Spit and Roast, were on hand to soak up some of the alcohol with their incredible buttermilk, fried chicken burgers. Well known company, Bens Cookies were also hired to satisfy those with a sweet tooth.

All in all this was a fantastic day from start to finish. The bride and groom approached the day with a relaxed and playful attitude, from the venue to the dinosaur cake toppers there was nothing ordinary about this wedding.
